Planning Board

As a result of the Covid-19 health crisis the Planning Board had to suspend public meetings. The Governor has now allowed  meetings of up to 10 people. The Town Office Meeting room does have space for 10 people and social distancing guidelines would not be met. In order to move forward with Town business and not delay potential projects any further the board will resume meetings using the Lovell Town Hall. Social Distancing guidelines and wearing of masks will be required.

Lovell Planning Board meets the first Wednesday of the Month.

A public hearing will be conducted at the April 7th Planning Board meeting via Zoom. The Planning Board will discuss and Vote on the request by,

Matt Chisholm & Sarah Gurtman are submitting an application for an amendment for Lot #3 Farrington Shores. It appears that a portion of the building envelope, as shown on the original approved plan (see Farrington Shores Sheet 2 of 3), falls within the 75 foot setback from a brook which runs through the property. The proposal is to redistribute the building envelope so that it is located outside the 75 foot stream setback. This requires allocation of portions of the Forested Buffer No Disturbance Area and No Buffer Areas as depicted on the currently approved plan in order to redistribute the 15,000 sq. ft. building envelope.

Planning Board Agenda

Agenda includes, Reading of last meeting minutes, Roll call, Old and New Business and scheduling of the next meeting. This Notice acts as the 10 day notice of upcoming planning board meetings. After the June 3rd meeting the Agenda will be updated and posted here and the Town office. 

Comprehensive Plan Update

At the March 2021 town meeting an update of the town’s Comprehensive Plan was approved. A committee has been formed to work on this project.

The Comprehensive Plan Update Committee meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 1 pm. Until further notice, meetings will be held by Zoom. Meetings are open to the public.
